Is It A Choice Or An Obligation To Care For Our Aged Parents?

At what age should our parents stop caring for us?

Some children feel it is not an obligation to look after their parents when they are old and worn out but a choice.
I strongly don't agree with that.
If we do not take care of them in old age who would? After all, they nurtured us until we grew into who we became as adults.
We owe them that much.

There are many victims of the May 1, 2014 Bomb blast who are still lying sick and wounded in different hospital beds in Abuja waiting to die.

 

Many others are already dead not because they could not be saved but because, they could not pay their hospital bills and the doctors could not treat them on credit. They died from hopelessness and helplessness.
